Every wedding is beautiful, but David and Ilana’s Jewish wedding at Winter Park Racquet Club was special. With traditional Jewish customs incorporated into the ceremony and reception and Blush by Brandee Gaar coordinating it all, their big day was bound to be a memorable affair.
Sivan Photography perfectly captured every moment and detail of the evening, from David and Ilana getting ready to the signing of their marriage contract. Honoring tradition, David and Ilana signed their marriage contract before the ceremony, under the guidance of Rabbi Rick. Immediately after, David and his mother lowered Ilana’s veil.
Ilana made a gorgeous bride as she walked down a petal-strewn aisle towards the chuppah, carrying a unique bouquet created with a mix of white and lavender tones. Roses, Dahlia blooms, freesia, and lilac resulted in a beautiful and fragrant bouquet, perfectly complementing David’s lavender rose and dusty miller boutonniere.
The couple were wed under an elaborate chuppah, designed with an array of vibrant purple and blue hydrangea, lavender, peach and soft pink roses. Stock in deep purple, pink heather, and cascading purple orchids created an overall aura of earthy refinement as they made their vows.
David and Ilana’s reception was wonderful, with soft lighting by Kaleidoscope Lighting lending a gentle glow to the room. Lush floral centerpieces, featuring more of the same blooms used for the chuppah, rested in gold vessels and were surrounded by gold mercury candles for a romantic effect.
After a delicious dinner and the cake-cutting, it was time to dance. In true Jewish fashion, David and Ilana joined hands with their loved ones to dance the night away. And of course, the Hora, or Chair Dance, was a must.
