Backyard New Year’s Eve Wedding

New Year’s Eve is always special, and there’s no better way to ring in the New Year than with a wedding! Kate and Josh are such a sweet couple, and their New Year’s Eve wedding will tug at our heartstrings for years to come!

Team James had the pleasure of designing the floral for Kate’s sister’s wedding a year ago, and it was an honor to be called back for another Devine wedding! Kate’s parents’ backyard made the ideal venue for such a beautiful day, with Weddings Unique bringing every detail together flawlessly, while Kristen Weaver worked magic with her camera lens, as usual!

The blush and white color scheme was soft in its elegance, allowing us to create the most lovely and romantic arrangements. The entire space had a backyard garden wedding atmosphere in the late afternoon, transitioning to an ethereal atmosphere during the nighttime ceremony with fairy lights gently lighting the night sky.

Kate made a stunning bride as she walked down the aisle, wearing a big smile and a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown as she carried her lush bridal bouquet. We lovingly created her bouquet with blush hydrangea, white peonies, and champagne roses throughout, with ranunculus blooms and blush rice floral. Dusty miller and clusters of seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus made for an elegant finish.

Kate’s bridesmaids looked stylish and beautiful, dressed in an assortment of beautiful gowns for a Gatsby-inspired touch. Their bouquets were truly striking against their gowns, crafted with blush hydrangea blooms with open cream and champagne roses throughout.

The floral throughout the ceremony was created with Kate’s vision in mind: magnolia foliage woven into stunning garlands accented with baby’s breath. Everything came together for a truly breathtaking ceremony at this New Year’s Eve wedding!

Joshua looked so proud and overjoyed throughout the entire day, and it was little wonder why! They made the most adorable couple, and it was a beautiful sight to see two souls so in love with one another.

Pretty soon, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds at the reception. Every detail was beautiful, with lovely white wooden round tables draped with stunning blush lace, topped with assorted gold mercury vessels holding lush arrangements created to match the bridesmaids’ bouquets.

All too soon, the evening came to an end, and it was time to bid our newlyweds farewell. Congratulations again, Kate and Joshua! Designing the floral for your New Year’s Eve wedding was an honor, and we wish you a long, happy life together!

Clare and Carlos’s wedding was all elegance and natural grace, taking place in the backyard of the bride’s family home. Blush by Brandee Gaar executed their vision beautifully with Cricket’s Photography and Perfect Sky Productions in attendance to document every timeless memory.

We loved creating the floral for this occasion! We complemented the natural vibe of their wedding with yellow sunflowers with white floral accents for the bridal party’s bouquets with matching boutonnieres for the gentleman. For Clare’s bouquet, we designed a white cascading bridal bouquet with accents of ivy and greenery. We even incorporated the white floral and ivy into a lush garland for their grand staircase. It made for a stunning visual masterpiece.

Our white floral theme continued through to the reception, with tall white hydrangea and ivy centerpieces decorating white washed rustic farm tables with French country chairs provided by A Chair Affair. For the newlyweds, we draped their chairs with ivy garlands to accent customized “Mr. & Mrs.” chalkboard signs from Chalk Shop Events. All of these elements sat underneath a beautiful white tent from Sperry Tents Miami. The cherry on the top of an unforgettable day was the 5-tiered white buttercream wedding cake with white floral accents created by Party Flavors Custom Cakes with a dessert buffet and candy cart on the side from Two Sweets Bake Shop.

Kirsten and Christian couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding at the Country Club of Orlando. Andi Mans Photography was behind the camera capturing each moment with Wonderful Weddings on hand to make sure every detail was perfect.

Floral accents of vibrant pinks with a hint of succulents created beautiful bouquets. For the bride, we paired the pink floral with soft white roses for a more romantic and elegant bridal bouquet to complement the beauty of the bride.

Once the newlyweds tied the knot, the celebration progressed on to the reception. We kept the same floral theme for the centerpieces, pairing them with lavender and purple orchids accents for an added touch of elegance. The Maxx put on an amazing performance throughout the evening, keeping Kirsten, Christian and their loved ones dancing all night in between getting refreshments and enjoying the photo booth provided by Photo Booth Rocks. To top the evening off, The Sugar Suite created a breathtaking 4-tiered wedding cake with floral accents and delicate details, along with a groom’s cake adorned with the mascot of the University of Florida, the Florida Gator.

Mary and Brian were high school sweethearts that found love again, tying the knot at Bella Collina this past March. Alison from Blush by Brandee Gaar was on hand to keep their special day running smoothly, with Andi Mans Photography taking all the shots and Love And Lustre Weddings filming their day from start to finish.

We chose bold and beautifully colored arrangements for Mary and Brian, with a vibrant display of hot pink, yellow and lavender roses with an assortment of complementing floral accents in the bridal bouquets and centerpieces. Mary’s cascading bouquet was the star of the show, adding on yellow and purple orchids to enhance it.

Once the couple sealed their marriage, the party continued on to the reception with DJ Larry from Power Entertainment DJ Service providing the entertainment.  The floral theme from the ceremony flowed to the reception, with our arrangements being the centerpieces on each of the tables, paired with classic black linens from Kirby Rentals and beautiful chiavari chairs and chargers from A Chair Affair. Party Flavors Custom Cakes designed a beautiful 3-tiered draped wedding cake with lace, sugar flowers and pearl detailing, with additional desserts created by Two Sweets Bake Shop and a chocolate fountain to top it all off from Hello Sugar.

Stetson Mansion: A Victorian Fairytale Styled Shoot

Last summer, we had the pleasure of being a part of another styled wedding shoot at The Stetson Mansion. This time, we stepped into a more magical Victorian era, where fairytales surely came true. The stunning architecture and quiet elegance of the mansion shone through in the photographs, courtesy of the talented Andi Mans Photography.

We wanted to enhance the magical feel of the theme, so we chose bright shades of pinks, purples, oranges, yellows and blues for our floral arrangements. A princess bride deserves the very best, from the beautiful gown from Solutions Bridal– Rivini, to her classical hair piece by Untamed Petals, and that is precisely what was delivered.

The old-world ambiance not only inspired our floral spread, but also the gorgeous stained glass cake by Bliss Pastry. To complement the cake, Le Macaron French Pastries provided scrumptious macaroons in vibrant shades that matched our floral designs perfectly.

On the lawn of the mansion, Wish Vintage Rentals styled a whimsical vignette that flowed with the style on the mansion. Our bright bouquets added a pop of color to the setting, bringing the dream of a Victorian fairytale to life.

How They Met: Through Anna’s brother

Wedding Style: Anna and Houston wove shades of mint and gold throughout their elegant Southern affair.

“I came across gold sequin dresses I fell in love with. Before I even asked my friends to be bridesmaids, I texted them asking for their dress sizes and ordered them immediately–praying they would all fit,” Anna says. “Thankfully they did, and they turned out gorgeous!”

 

Anna and Houston chose an all-white wedding cake finished with a cascade of sugar flowers and their monogram piped on the top tier. “It was delicious!” Anna says of the amaretto, marble and lemon confection. The bride wore a formfitting organza and lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a crystal-embellished belt. “It was everything I wanted and more,” she says.

 

“I hate wearing heels, so I always knew I would wear flats,” says Anna. “My mother-in-law found me a pair of Kate Spade shoes with a blow on the toes that I loved!”

The Ballroom at Church Street: Caitlin and Tyler

Caitlin and Tyler’s wedding was beautiful and romantic. Following the ceremony at Annunciation Catholic Church, Altamonte Springs, the celebration continued at Church Street Ballroom in downtown Orlando. The wedding was made possible through coordination and planning by Sweet Pea Brides, and was photographed by Love Light Lens.

The floral designs that we created for their big day included cream and blush pink roses and white hydrangeas with sweet sprigs of greenery. Caitlin’s bouquet was made entirely from roses, with one special bright red rose that she kept turned towards her heart.

Before heading to the reception, the couple posed for photos on the street in downtown Orlando. We love these unique, urban pictures!

Our centerpieces for the reception were understated and sweet. The white hydrangea and pale pink roses reflected the style of the bridesmaids’ bouquets. For added glamour, the arrangements were placed in shiny mercury glass containers.

Ali and Matt married on December 28, 2013 at the beautiful Bella Collina. The couple hired Ash Imagery, located in Pennsylvania where they currently live, to travel with them to Florida to celebrate with their 250 friends and family. With the help of Alison Watkins of Blush by Brandee Gaar, the day went off without a hitch!

Ali was the epitome of classic elegance. Her side-swept chignon and understated smoky eyes by hair and makeup artist Cristi Miranda made the most of her natural beauty. Her unique dress, by Rivini, was perfect for Florida winter. The sheer 3/4 sleeves provided all the warmth needed! We created her bouquet, and the complementary bride’s maids bouquets, to mimic the shapes and textures on Ali’s dress. The result was a mixed arrangement of white, green, and warm brown flowers and plants. How otherworldly and yet so natural!

The decor at the reception carried the same white and green color palette and all “natural elegance” feel. We used a variety of white floral accented by vibrant greenery on top of the rustic wooden tables. Lanterns, tall pillars candles, and votive candles in a variety of metallic holders provided romantic ambiance. Party Flavors created a simply sweet three-tier cake which sat amongst a huge dessert buffet provided by Two Sweets Bake Shop.

What a great wedding! We were so glad to be a part of this wedding, and wish the couple a lifetime of happiness. Thank you to all the wedding professionals involved in making this day possible:

Leslie and Aaron said their I Do’s on their 8th year anniversary at the gorgeous Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida. Surrounded my close family and friends the couple was able to enjoy their magical day thanks to wedding coordinator,  Weddings in the City. The bride, Leslie, looked absolutely stunning from head to toe in her wedding gown by Solutions Bridal. Alongside the bride, her bridesmaids were pieces of perfection in dresses by Bella Bridesmaids. The groom, Aaron, looked quite dapper himself along with his fellow groomsmen in attire from Mens Wearhouse.

What kind of wedding would it be if there were no elegant florals to add a sense of freshness to the decor? We provided all the flowers for Leslie and Aaron’s wedding day and they were all simply beautiful. Whether a it was a simple corsage or a bouquet of roses, each flower was blossomed and picture-perfect.

Italian Celebration at Bella Collina | Real Wedding: Michelle and Jason

Michelle and Jason married with the stunning red-orange Bella Collina in the background. There Italian flavored reception was captured on film by Studio 222 and arranged by the talented staff at Blush by Brandee Garr. Our various arrangements of pink, orange, and white flowers and Chalk Shop Events‘ message boards provided most of the couple’s vintage Italian decor. Michelle amazed everyone in her dress from Solutions Bridal.

Our tablescape included various rose bouquets in pink, orange, and white as well as black lanterns lit with LED candles.

We mixed in white hydrangeas with the roses for part of the wedding decor. Our potted plants added elegance to the wedding.

We used vibrant oranges and contrasted them with softer pinks and greens for the bride’s bouquet.

Leaves waterfalled down the ceremony white chiavair chairs to give them the special touch.
